DAYTON – GEMCITY Engineering and Manufacturing named Allen Goad, the former President of H-D Aerospace and Defense of greater Los Angeles, as its new chief executive officer on Monday, February 11, 2019.

Goad joins the executive team of Tim O’Meara, President; Jody Carter, CFO; John Castle, Director of Technical Services; Bryan Gresock, Director of Operations; Jim Zahora, Business Unit Manager; Bruce Dumler, Supply Chain Manager; and Vickie Rhodehamel, Human Resource Manager.

Goad has 24 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge leading manufacturing, distribution, and service organizations for public, private, and private-equity owned companies. Outstanding leadership with expertise in Strategy Deployment, Operational Excellence, Lean, Toyota Production System, Six Sigma, Team Building, and Training. Allen has a solid reputation for business growth strategy execution, manufacturing excellence strategy execution, merger and acquisition strategy execution, and problem resolution. He is analytical and detail-oriented; focused on improving profits, improving sales, and drastically reducing lead-times while maintaining excellent quality standards and customer satisfaction.

He has total support of CapitalWorks, LLC, the Cleveland based private-equity firm that owns GEMCITY. His core professional competencies are profit and loss management, total business strategic vision and execution, and is a master black belt in Six Sigma. His undergraduate degree in chemistry is from Arkansas State University and he holds an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.

During his career, Goad implemented operational excellence performance cultures at numerous Crane Company facilities in North America and internationally, through training programs and improved procedures using operational excellence with Lean Black Belt initiatives. Additionally, Goad served as the Chief Executive Officer for ATS Systems and The Affero Group in the LA area. ATS was a world premiere manufacturer, supplier and service provider for all machining automation and accessories. Affero is an aerospace and defense electronic and electro-mechanical manufacturing service company in improving existing business operations.
